| Description | The minutes are printed and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volume (see BCC/1/BO/19). The minutes include the reports of the General Manager of the Parks Committee detailing the enolument values that were defined by the Establishment Officer of Birmingham City Council as: 'Any prerequisites in kind which tend to increase the value of a post other than in cash.' In some cases these were properties built to house departmental staff, such as lodges for park keepers or annexes to large estate buildings that fell under the remit of the committee. The lists often give the name of the occupant of each property, the situation and address of the property, the true value of the house, fuel and light, and the nominal and free value of the enoluments. |
