| Description | The following special sub-committees were formed for specific reasons, sometimes sitting for just one session, for the purpose of undertaking the project stated in the sub-committee title. The description here lists all relevant minute volumes, dates and minute numbers together. This has been done to avoid making the hierarchical structure of the catalogue too complicated. The special sub-committees that reported to the Establishment Committee, and its predecessors, are listed below:
1. Special sub-committee minutes 1924 - 1947:
May 1924, minutes 1 - 4 (Compassionate Allowances).
July 1941 - December 1941, minutes 1 - 7 (Call-up of Essential Staff).
February 1947 - March 1947, minutes 1 - 12 (National Pay Scales).
April 1947 - July 1947, minutes 1 - 86 (National Pay Scales and Grading).
These minutes are the appropriately dated, combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC/1/BU/13).
