| AdminHistory | The Casualty Services Sub-Committee was established in March 1938, and consisted of four to six main committee members. Its purpose was also to give public instruction and advice regarding first aid and anti-gas treatments, as well as to arrange for dealing with casualties through hospitals, first aid posts, ambulance services and mortuaries. First aid posts were established in schools, baths and other public buildings. The sub-committee was disbanded at the end of the Second World War. |
