| AdminHistory | The Auxiliary Fire Service Sub-Committee was established in March 1938, and consisted of four or five main committee members. Its purpose was to organise for an emergency fire brigade service, including such provision deemed necessary for auxiliary fire stations, fire patrols and fire posts, as well as making arrangements for natural and static water supplies, and recruiting and training personnel for fire and other duties. After November 1939, these minutes are included with the Watch Committee (see BCC/1/AC/6 Joint Auxiliary Fire Service Sub-Committee). |
