Domestic shelter progress reports, originally sorted into files according to the road name. These reports can date from the 1940’s through till the 1960’s, depending on the road and cover any correspondence with the public, work undertaken, quotes and some plans. The file sequence is currently incomplete. See list.

Undated files. For purposes of civil defence, Birmingham was split into three zones; E1, E2 and E3. Each zone had sections, each with several sector posts and subsections. These files consist of:-
- File containing maps showing control posts within sections of Section E1 (North Birmingham).
- File containing maps showing control posts within sections of Section E2 (South-East Birmingham).
- File containing maps showing control posts within sections of Section E3 (South-West Birmingham).
