They include the reports to committee of the Restaurants Department and the Catering Sub-Committee regarding local canteens in factories and public buildings, and relate to areas such as budgeting, staffing, buildings and grounds, and purchase of equipment. There are also guidelines relating to food control legislation and hygiene, as recommended by government departments such as the Ministry of Food. Information is also provided on local events and entertainments held in local public buildings and parks, and annual statistics compiled at the end of each calendar year by the committee on the number of meals and beverages served and total revenues.
