AccessConditionsThe first set of minutes of the Finance and General Purposes Sub-Committee dated 1949 are bound together with the minutes of the Disciplinary Sub-Committee which include details of two cases fraud which potentially detail disciplinary procedures against named individuals. These minutes are closed for 80 years. The remainder of the sub-committee minutes dated 1949 - 1973 are bound in a general combined sub-committee minute volume that is closed for 50 years.
AdminHistoryThe Finance and General Purposes Sub-Committee investigate all financial matters on behalf of the main committee. The sub-committee was formed in April 1949, and comprised of the two chairmen of both the Catering and the Entertainments Sub-Committees. In May 1949, this sub-committee appears to have taken over the role of the Catering Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/CR/2), but met only infrequently by 1954, mainly to approve the accounts.
