| Description | The minutes were compiled in typescript format and signed by the committee Chairman. The minutes are in the appropriately dated combined sub-committee minute volumes (see BCC 1/CS/11). There is one numbering error during the minutes for April 1959 - May 1961, where minute 407 is followed by minute 471. The minutes include reports detailing the number of lectures and educational talks on public and personal health matters given to adults, youth organisations and school children, including such topics as health and citizenship, personal hygiene, mother-craft and childcare the prevention of tuberculosis, venereal disease and sexual health, and biology. The tables give lists of lectures given both inside and outside of staff duty hours. There are also details about publicity and propaganda used to increase public awareness with regards to personal and public health issues. |
