AccessConditionsThe records of the Staff Sub-Committee, later Staff and Staff Discipline Sub-Committee contain confidential information on adult and children patients as well as members of staff, and have been bound with the records of sub-committees that worked with children and adults. The records have therefore been closed for 100 years in compliance with the Data Protection Act, 1998, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
AdminHistoryThe Staff Sub-Committee was founded in September 1947, and was renamed during October as the Establishment Sub-Committee, but soon reverted back to its original title. It consisted of just two or three members, and its purpose was to advise the main Health Committee on all staffing matters, such as pay, appointments and holidays. In December 1961 it became the Staff and Staff Discipline Sub-Committee, and started a new minute sequence. Up until that point staff discipline had been dealt with by a Special Sub-Committee (see BCC/1/CS/12).
