| AdminHistory | The Policy and Resources Committee was appointed by the General Purposes Committee in May 1972, and comprised six members of the Council. The aims of the committee were to consider matters of broad policy and major importance and to ensure that departments were in no way being obstructive in the implementation of the policies of Birmingham City Council. Amongst the first matters it considered were the redevelopment of the Wholesale Markets and the old Snow Hill Station area. |
