AdminHistoryThis was a joint committee of the Birmingham Corporation and the Local Board of Aston Manor. The Birmingham Corporation and the Aston Local Board wanted to, and eventually did, buy the rights of the mill at the junction of Long Acre and Plume Street to improve the course, width and depth of the brook. The joint venture continued to cover a large section of Hockley Brook, thereby improving water drainage and prevent flooding.
