AccessConditionsThe minutes of the Committee of Management contain sensitive personal data relating to Council staff and officers, including cases relating to members of staff who were dismissed. The records are therefore closed for 80 years under the provisions of the Data Protection Act, 1998.
AdminHistoryThe full title of this Committee, formed in July 1934, was the Committee of Management (Staff Widows’ and Orphans’ Pension Scheme). The pension scheme was to be brought into operation as from 1 October 1934, and it became a condition of service that all male officers joining the Corporation, under the age of 30, were to be required to join the scheme. The purpose of the scheme was to protect the wives and families of Corporation employees who died in service.
