AdminHistoryThe Birmingham Hospitals Council was established in March 1919. It consisted of representatives from the City Council and all of the hospitals in the city. The council was formed with a view to co-ordination and co-operation in general hospital matters of policy and working, fundraising, purchasing and efficiency. In April 1925, the Local Voluntary Hospitals Committee was merged with the Birmingham Hospitals Committee (see BCC 1/FC).
