AdminHistoryThis joint committee, comprising of representatives from the Asylums Committee and the University of Birmingham, was established in December 1922, and included the Chairmen of the Asylums Committee and the Winson Green and Rubery Hill Sub-Committees. The Board appointed Frederick Mott as Honorary Director, and employed a Research Officer to assist. The aim was to look into the causes of mental disorders. University funding for the joint project was withdrawn in 1933, and so the project ceased, and the committee was disbanded.
