The booklet is dated 1947 with a typescript enclosure pasted into inside front cover dated 8 March 1948 summarising the content of the booklet as dealing with the 'head works' of the City of Birmingham Water Department situated in the Elan and Glaerwen Valleys. There is also a loose copy of a letter enclosed inside the front cover comprising a letter from H.J. Baldwin of the Berkeley Estates Company to Miss E.M. Atkin, 31 March 1948, on the back of which are written handwritten annotations in blue ink entitled 'B'ham Water Undertaking' detailing a few key dates, costings and figures relating to size of infrastructure. |
