| AdminHistory | The West Midlands Regional Advisory Water Committee first met in June 1935, and included an Executive Sub-Committee and a Technical Sub-Committee. There is very little background information about the committee, although it seems to have been established to coordinate the provision of water supplies across five key areas of the West Midlands, designated areas A - E. These areas encompassed North Staffordshire (area A), South Staffordshire (area B), West and North Staffordshire (area C), East Staffordshire (area D), and Birmingham and South Staffordshire (area E). It is unclear when exactly the committee was disbanded, the last surviving minute book ends in May 1938. |
