| Description | The Special Committees within Aston Union were set up to deal with one-off or short-term issues and problems relating to the Workhouse, as and when necessary. As with the General Purposes Committee, the topics discussed cover a very wide range, including the appointment of Workhouse staff, charges of assault against the Workhouse inmates, changes to the operation of other committees, including the Board itself, and changes to the life of the inmates, including their diet and living environment.
