| Description | The Marston Green Homes Management committee was responsible for creating a number of sub-committees designed to deal with specific aspects of the cottage homes. However, only a single volume of minutes for the Orders Sub-Committee survives. It is unclear why this sub-committee was created in January 1880, as the surviving Management Committee minutes only begin in the July of that year. The minutes themselves do suggest that the sub-committee dealt with the initial fitting out of Marston Green, and this may explain why only those for such a short period (January to March 1880) are extant: having furnished the homes, there was no longer a need for such a sub-committee. |
