| Description | This volume is very similar to the vaccination registers listed below, and also those held as part of the Aston and King's Norton Union collections. Kept by the Public Vaccinator for the Union's number 10 district, the volume contains details of all those children vaccinated during the period 1924-1928. Along with the name, age and address of the child, the register also contains details on who the vaccination was carried out by, and when and where it happened. A week after the vaccination, the Public Vaccinator would inspect each child to see if it had been successful. Details of this process are also given.
Only this single volume survives, from what would originally have been a huge series of registers covering the dozen districts within the union. As the register runs in chronological order, it is not indexed. |
