| Description | Accompanying the above report is a second volume containing printed minutes of the evidence heard by the Committee. Those testifying to the Committee included members of professional nursing associations and other bodies connected with poor law administration, Union Guardians and paid officials, and workhouse infirmary staff. The volume does not contain evidence from individuals connected with King's Norton Union, or from those at either the Aston or Birmingham Unions, but nevertheless contains a great deal of information on workhouse nursing conditions in the early twentieth century. The volume is indexed. |
