| Description | The registers of Admissions cover the period 1851-1973, although there are some gaps. The volumes differ slightly in the information they contain but all list the patient's name, age, sex, date of admission, occupation, previous address, type of mental illness and general physical health. Also given is the name of the person on whose authority the patient was admitted and the name of the doctor who signed the medical certificate. In the case of pauper lunatics the parish which is to be charged for their care is also listed. There is some additional material. |
