DescriptionThe following registers cover the period 1853 - 1955 and all give information on the death, discharge or transfer of patients. The registers vary in their content and some contain a great deal more detail on individual cases than others do.

Registers 1-6 in this series give the date of death, discharge or removal, along with the patient's date of admission, cause of death and age of death. Information is on male and female patients.

Registers 7-18 also cover the discharges and deaths of patients, but they give considerably more detail in each case. The registers contain admission information, details from the medical certificate, personal and family history, physical health and history of mental health illness. Case notes follow on each person until discharge or death.

AccessConditionsItems in this series are closed for 100 years from the last entry because they contain sensitive information relating to patients. A number of items are also mould damaged and cannot be searched or served. Please see item level records for details.
