| Description | Naomh Quinn talks of her determination to pursue a career in children despite having a number of obstacles to overcome. She started her career training to be a learning disability nurse but soon found that she wanted to be a children’s nurse. She talks of the various jobs she has done in CAMHS, PICU, hospice care and how she has worked in England, Ireland, Saudi Arabia as well as Northern Ireland. She talks of her current role in academia teaching undergraduate and post graduate children’s nurses at Queens University Belfast. She talks with passion about practice and explains she keeps up her clinical skills by working weekends and bank shifts, despite the challenges of juggling work and academia. |
