| Description | This committee first operated under the title of the Ladies' Association, responsible for the domestic operations of the charity. Principally this meant the management of the Relief Fund, maintained to distribute basic provisions to confined mothers. On the replacement of the subscription and ticket system regulating entitlement to care in 1904 by a registration fee, the Ladies' Association took on the role of Committee of Investigation, by which entitlement of patients to treatment was verified. |
