Description	The Committee's accounts appear in the Congregation Yearbooks. An attendance book, which includes meetings of the Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee and the Foundation Managers' Committee, has been listed as JA/1/C/7. Draft minutes of the Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee, which contain some earlier minutes dating from 1905-1910, have been listed as JA/1/C/6.

Records relating to the Congregation's recent administrative affairs are closed for 30 years; financial records are closed for 50 years.
AdminHistory	The Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee (or Hebrew and Religious Instruction Board) consists of 10 members elected annually by Council, but not necessarily from its own body, with the Chief Minister and Assistant Minister as ex-officio members. According to the 1963 Laws of the Congregation, the Committee is responsible for providing religious instruction to children in schools throughout the City and for organizing barmitzvah and batmitzvah, children's services, teacher training, Chanukah Service, and prize distribution. The Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee and the Foundation Managers Committee replaced the School Committee in 1903.
