DescriptionExercise book of reports given by the Headmaster of the Hebrew School to an unnamed Committee of the Council of the Hebrew Congregation, probably the Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee.

The book includes statistics and reports about attendance and teaching in the Hebrew School, including staff illness and absences, examining children in Hebrew, progress made by the Pupil Teachers, numbers of children attending the synagogue and attending classes on Sundays, notes of comments made by visitors to the school and scholarships won by pupils, and descriptions of the annual school excursion.

Enclosed with the report for 11 February 1906: letter from Moses Berlyn, Secretary, Hebrew and Religious Instruction Committee to Lawrence J Libgott, Headmaster, Hebrew School, asking him to include information about the progress of the pupil teachers preparing for the Hebrew Examination at the Jews College, London and figures for attendance of schoolchildren at the Synagogue on Sabbaths in his reports, 12 February 1906;

Enclosed with the report for 9 December 1906: lists of numbers on the roll at the Infant Department, 1905-1909;

Enclosed with report for 23 June 1912, note of numbers attending Sabbath and Sunday classes, 1919

Enclosed with report for 17 February 1918: note of numbers attending Sabbath and Sunday classes, 1916; blank form to be sent to parents after a child is absent from school for them to note the reason for absence, undated; blank form to be sent to parents after a child has been absent from school on a Sunday, undated.
