DescriptionFiles of correspondence between the synagogue secretary and the membership, mainly concerning membership payments, but also including correspondence about yarzeit payments (payments for prayers to be said on the anniversary of a death), funerals, job applications, and many other issues relating to the membership of the synagogue. The files are arranged alphabetically by member's name. Some series files are solely concerned with membership administration; some are a mixture of correspondence with the membership and correspondence with a range of other organizations connected with the synagogue, such as their insurance company, bank, auditors, other synagogues in Birmingham, and with the Chief Rabbi.
