| Description | Agreement between representatives of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation and of the Birmingham Beth Hamedrash, Wrottesley St, (later the Central Synagogue) signed and sealed, June 1902. The agreement includes these conditions:
'that the Council [of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation] shall annually consider an application to renew the permission to hold Divine Service at the Beth Hamedrash formerly held at Holloway Head but now held at Wrottesley St;
that the Beth Hamedrash shall not engage a Mohel [the person who performs ritual circumcision] or Schochet [butcher]; open a butcher's shop; solemnise marriages; accept as members any person reducing their payments to, or seceding from the Congregation;
that the Beth Hamedrash shall pay fees for Chazkoth Hakeheloh and shall annually supply a list of Members and Subscribers and a balance sheet to the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation;
that the Council of the Birmingham Hebrew Congregation will recommend that the rabbi of the Beth Hamedrash shall be eligible for election by the Shechita Committee equally with the clerical officers of the Congregation and that the Congregation shall consider granting an annual sum of £100 to the Beth Hamedrash';
