NYCVS provides a forum and representative body for the Voluntary Youth Service (VYS). The Council aims to work closely with the National Youth Agency, created by the Government in 1991, and to provide liaison and support, particularly for local councils to ensure that significant developments in youth activities are disseminated. Nature of support: In 1991 the Trust agreed to three annual grants of £5,000 per annum to help re-launch the NYCVS following the removal of support by the Government.
