Applicant overview: ERIS became a company limited by guarantee in 1992, at that time registered as Electoral Reform (Consultancy Services) Limited. ERIS aims to work with the Electoral Reform Society (ERS) and with Electoral Reform (Ballot Services) Limited with a view to involving either of both of them in the promotion of the quota-preferential method of election and in achieving the further objects of, 1) providing advice on any matters relating to electoral systems, election administration and constitutional provisions relating thereto, 2) conducting seminars, meetings and training on any matters relating to the democratic process, 3) monitoring any aspects of the electoral process, and, 4) advice on, or to undertake, any promotional work in furtherance of the above goals. Nature of support: In 1991 the Fund agreed to underwrite ERIS for a three year period up to £30,000.
