NWBDN was established to raise the profile of women entrepreneurs and encourage appropriate sensitive enterprise support for women. Its objectives are to, 1) provide a platform for the promotion of women's businesses, 2) lobby to effect change in existing enterprise provision good practice, 3) develop and disseminate material in relation to good practice, 4) provide a consultancy service for the further development of women's enterprise provision, and 5) undertake research and development to identify the most appropriate mechanisms to provide support to potential and established women's businesses on a local level. Nature of support: In 1994 the Trust agreed to a single grant of £20,000 towards a one year mapping project for regional women's enterprise development agencies. Minutes: B&GSCT 7738.
