Applicant overview: The MWT became a registered charity in 1993 with the following aims, 1) to encourage communities to reflect on the spiritual foundations and principles that are relevant to European integration, 2) to articulate the contribution that Islam has made and can continue to make in promoting spirituality, tolerance, minority rights, the growth of communities and the equitable distribution of wealth, and 3) to encourage Muslim communities to reflect on the relevance of their own spiritual and cultural inheritance to the process and identity of European integration.
