The aim of the initial experimental course was to instruct students of business management and public services in effective English oral communication. Nature of support: The Paul S. In 1981 a single grant of £1,000 was made to appoint a tutor for the Oral Communication Course. This grant was renewed in 1982, 1983 and 1984. In 1984 Paul S. Cadbury Trustees approved three annual grants of £1,500 towards the course. In 1985 a supplement to these grants of £250 was approved for travel costs.
