A 1973 survey carried out by the BFHA highlighted the need for a pre and after school care centre. Such a facility was built on Chantry Road in Moseley. Nature of support: The Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust provided £1,000 towards the refurbishment of the premises plus an annual £1,500 grant to run for three years for an organiser's salary though this may have been amended to cover general expenses.
