| Description | This item is a bundle of baptism certificates for various children (presumably pupils at the school). The baptism certificates record: date of baptism, child's Christian name, parents' names, abode, 'quality, trade or profession'' (of the father) and by whom the ceremony was performed. The certificate is signed at the bottom and the date that the copy was made is also recorded. The bulk of the baptism certificates are for births in the 1830s - there are only 5 certificates post 1850. There are 85 baptism certificates in total. |
