| Description | These volumes contain counterfoils of printed certificates - where certificates have been awarded, a stub is left recording the date of issue of the certificate, the name of the child the certificate was presented to, the date the child was admitted to the school, when they left and the results of exams taken by the child. Later certificates also record the general conduct of the child. Blank certificates still in the volume confirm that the certificates repeat the information recorded on the stub. The certificate appears to work like a report card. The fact that the certificates record the child's leaving date suggests that they were issued when the child left the school. |
