AdminHistoryEdward Wyon was apprenticed to Ralph Heaton and Sons in approximately 1857. He was sent overseas by the company on a number of occasions to supervise the erection of foreign mints - to Marseilles in 1857, to Burma in 1864, to Bogata in 1881 (Columbia) and to Canton in 1888. He died on 16 August 1906 whilst visiting Japan. Further material relating to Edward Wyon can be found in the subject files relating to these contracts (REFS.).
