| Description | The series of twenty- one works diaries contain notes of staff absences, the work carried out each day, accidents at the works, repairs to plant and premises and other staff activities. The diaries from 1912 onwards appear to have been written by the Works Manager, William Edward Judge. A complete series of diaries does not appear to have survived. The diaries for 1872 - 1879, 1881 - 1899, 1901 - 1911, 1914, 1915, 1917, 1918, 1926 and 1927 are missing. |
