| Description | Generally appears to mean the "Old Bromsgrove Turnpike Road" which equates to Wheeley's Road, Carpenter Road, Ampton Road and a road now subsumed by the park of Edgbaston Hall. It was turnpiked 1725-6. However, Bromsgrove Road may also be used to mean what is later the Bristol Road. Confusion might also arise with "Bromsgrove Street" , which runs onto Great Colemore Street.
