| AdminHistory | 'True Stories' was a concept initially created by Peter Grego entitled at the time 'Archive'. The brief to the four artists involved was to explore the photographic part of the Vanley Burke Archive and the Sir Benjamin Stone Collection, Central Library, and to recontextualise what they found to give their own contemporary response. The artists were Vanley Burke, Bharti Parmar, Barbara Walker and Peter Grego. The exhibition was initially shown at Wolverhampton Art Gallery from 20 September to 15 November 2003, and then at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery from 17 July to 26 September 2004. |
