AdminHistoryClaiming the Inheritance were a group formed initially in the Anglican church which later joined with a group of "interested methodists". Their aims were to "Know where we have been- The Black experience of Church and Society; Know who we are- Black Consciousness; Know where we are going- Our Unfinished Agenda of Liberation"
They organised conferences such as "Britain through the black lens" in 1989, material from which is included in this file.
The group also produced a publication, two issues of which from spring and summer 1987 are included in this file. The publications featured articles and photographs by Vanley Burke, who was on the board of the group.
