AdminHistoryThe penmanship awards are made to winners of the Afro-Caribbean Education Resource Project (ACER)'s annual essay competition. This was set up as a tribute to three young black people who had died. The ACER exists to "develop and promote a more positive and informed perspective of Black cultural and ethnic expressions as a contribution towards making Multi-Ethnic Britain a reality". ACER was founded in 1977 by Len Garrison.
