AdminHistoryWest Midlands Ethnic Minority Arts Service (WEMAS) was the regional equivalent of London's Minority Arts Advisory Service (MAAS). It was an independent advisory service, funded by the Arts Council England and West Midlands Arts Service. It had three publications over its lifespan: Blackboard, Blackboard Review and Bulletin.
Vanley Burke collected the material here while he was a member of the editorial group, executive committee and was briefly WEMAS' secretary in 1988.
Other people involved were Pogus Caesar, Ifemu Omari and Marlene Smith.
