I was born in Milk Street….January 29th,1921….taken to Manchester….Eventually returned to Birmingham to Bartholomew Street. Lived with aunt.

1.43 Contracted rheumatic fever when 8 or 9 and had to go to an open school. Went to Haseley Hall. Description of the school.

3.28 I was there for 2 years from 1928-9. Too expensive to remain there.
