| Description | Series MS 2724/2/B comprises the main body of prints taken from negatives of WPS members actively engaged in survey work (i.e. William Jerome Harrison, John Benjamin Stone, Thomas Clarke). The vast majority date from 1890 - 1942, although some were taken up to a couple of years before the Survey was founded, and probably incorporated into the collection from negatives taken by photographers who either became affiliated with the Survey after it was founded or operated independently from it.
The prints are in the main mounted on standard, cream coloured WPS mounting boards and given a running number from 1 onwards which became the basis for the order of the original collection as deposited at Birmingham Reference Library.
