A note on the back of the photograph reads: 'Portrait of The Queen of the Gipsies which had their camp on the Black Patch for a very many years all but the very oldest were turned off in 1905. The Queen and a few others who had lived there about 20/25 years possibly more were allowed to remain until their death. 'Queen Henty died in January 1907'. |
