DescriptionDocketed “Send copy of letter and plan received from Mr. Taylor of the arrangement proposed by him for engine houses at Devonport Dock Yard. The plan of carrying shafts across the pumping engine house objectionable. Also making one will serve both pumps – and not clear as to its application. Unable to account for the error in Fame’s steam pipes. To consult Mr. Watt on the charge for the labourers employed at West India Dock. Ramsgate templates were sent off immediately and no time lost in sending off the engines after they were completed.”
