| Description | Letters from Henry Creighton from 1804 to 1809. Henry Creighton, younger brother of William Creighton, was one of Boulton Watt & Co.’s best engine erectors and engineers. He was mainly based in Manchester during this period, although he made a long journey through Ireland in 1808. As well as erecting and repairing steam engines, Henry did a great deal of work on gas lighting, and also heating apparatus and drying stoves.
