| Description | Letters from Logan Henderson from 1781. Logan Henderson was one of Boulton & Watt’s earliest engine erectors, working for them between 1776 and 1783. He made extensive visits to Cornwall, London, Ireland, Scotland the North East and elsewhere, and he supervised matters at Soho when Boulton and Watt were absent. His correspondence was kept in yearly bundles. This bundle includes several letters written by Henderson from Soho to Boulton and Watt in Cornwall. In December 1780 Henderson was permanently appointed to look after Boulton & Watt’s engines in Cornwall. |
