| Description | Letters from John Rennie from 1814. John Rennie worked as a millwright and engineer, and he acted as a London agent for Boulton Watt & Co. Rennie frequently wrote while travelling round the country – this bundle contains letters from Ramsgate, Chesterfield, Dublin and Irvine. The bundle also contains letters from Rennie’s engineers John Walker and Richard Elmas Breary, and Rennie’s son George.
The letters are addressed Boulton Watt & Co. and James Watt Jr. One of John Walker’s letters is addressed to William Murdock. |
